Need advice from a teenage girl...?

im a 16 year old male. there is this girl in my school that i really like but i dont know how to get her to like me. she tends to hang out with the popular hockey players where i hang out with my ';average'; group. i am also very short and i look a lot younger than i am. she is very popular where i am not. i have a formal dance coming up soon and i really want to ask her to it seeing as she is single but i dont want to be rejected and have the whole school laugh at me. if someone could help me to get her to like me, it would be very helpful.Need advice from a teenage girl...?
hmm...first question to ask yourself: are u willing to challenge the other people that would laugh at you? there are always going to be obstacles your way..no matter what the task is. I'm sure she wants someone who's strong enough and not scared of acting out on his feelings or beliefs. She probably also wants a guy who has emotions and is sensitive. Hockey players are usually not that...all they have is skills, but with time, I'm sure they've probably just hardened up. How about you just start with an introduction, and then possibly ask her if she's interested in going to the dance with you. And if she tells her friends that you've asked her out and they do start laughing at you..just brush their comments aside. Don't let them affect you. If you let them once..then they'll know that you're weak and will continue to do since they know it gets to you. Your weakness becomes their weapon. Plus, seeing that you're not affected by the rude comments might change the girl's view on you. Need advice from a teenage girl...?
start out by talking to her during class er something. get to know her first which would lead to ';get-togethers'; and then once you start being good friends that would be a good time to ask her. if you dont have the time to do that then just go for it and ask her! dont be ashamed because girls like us want you guys to make the move and have the confidence to ask! dont worry if you get rejected...all that matters is that you've been noticed by her and she would start associating with you since she knows that youve approached her.
